Home Programs Agreement: By submitting payment or arranging for payment to be submitted on your behalf, and/or by downloading, streaming or accessing a home program, also known as a crash course, you understand and agree that Debra Macleod is not engaged in rendering professional advice, instruction or services to you on an individual basis. You warrant that you have read Debra Macleod’s website (DebraMacleod.com/MarriageSOS.com) and agree to its Terms of Use, that you understand the informational nature of her content and service, including the fact that she does not provide legal or psychological/mental health services, and that there are no factors (i.e. physical, emotional or sexual abuse of a partner or child, mental illness/disorder, trauma, addiction or severe emotional crisis that could compromise your or another’s safety) that would contraindicate the use of her home programs. You understand and agree that the purpose of these home programs is to inform you of general strategies, skills and insights (based on the principles of effective communication, conflict resolution and positive interactions, as well as Debra’s experience as a couples mediator, relationship author and coach) that may help you reach your personal goals and achieve positive change in your life and marriage/relationship. You understand and agree that any strategies, skills or insights provided are informational in nature, and you must use your own judgment when deciding whether or not, or to what extent, to implement them in your life or marriage/relationship. Debra Macleod cannot guarantee these strategies, skills or insights will apply to or improve your situation and she will not be held liable for any act or omission allegedly arising, directly or indirectly, from the use or misuse of information provided. You agree to be contacted at the email address(es) you provide and to have invoices, order confirmation email and/or other necessary correspondence, from DebraMacleod.com/MarriageSOS.com and/or third party sites (i.e. Thinkific.com, PayPal.com), sent to such email address(es). Although reasonable steps to ensure confidentiality will be taken, Debra Macleod and Marriage SOS accept no liability for damage caused by email virus or corruption. Due to the informational and non-returnable nature of this service, refunds are not given on home programs which have been previously downloaded, streamed or accessed, whether in whole or in part. Your purchase of a home program entitles you to access that home program for a period of one year from the date of purchase. A home program may be revised or discontinued at any time without prior notice. All of Debra Macleod’s Marriage SOS home programs are copyrighted material: all rights reserved. No part of these home programs may be accessed, stored, reproduced or distributed in any form without Debra Macleod’s permission. Debra Macleod and Marriage SOS is headquartered in the Province of Alberta, Canada: by accessing a home program, you agree that the statutes and other laws of the Province of Alberta and the country of Canada, without regard to conflicts of laws and principles thereof, will apply to all matters arising from or relating to the use of a home program. You submit to the exclusive personal jurisdiction and venue of the federal district and provincial courts of Canada and Alberta with respect to such matters. Home programs are made available through a linked third party website (Thinkific.com) and payment is through PayPal.com: Debra Macleod and DebraMacleod.com / MarriageSOS.com are not responsible for the terms of use, security, privacy, confidentiality, compatibility, functionality or availability of these third party websites. It is your responsibility to ensure compatibility and functionality with your web browser and operating system. In the event of technical problems, please visit the Technical Issues page on DebraMacleod.com for a troubleshooting checklist or email webmaster@debramacleod.com and describe the problem: we will respond to you via email as quickly as possible. All people, correspondence, and situations presented in this home program have been fictionalized, altered and/or generalized for illustration purposes: names, dialogue and identifying details do not represent actual persons and any resemblance to actual persons is coincidental. Tele-Sessions Client Agreement: By submitting payment or arranging for payment to be submitted on your behalf, you warrant that you have read Debra Macleod’s website (DebraMacleod.com / MarriageSOS.com) and agree to its Terms of Use, that you understand the relationship coaching nature of her content and service, including the fact that she does not provide legal or psychological/mental health services, and that there are no factors (i.e. physical, emotional or sexual abuse of a partner or child, mental illness/disorder, trauma, addiction or severe emotional crisis that could compromise your or another’s safety) that would contraindicate a tele-session with Debra. You understand and agree that Debra’s purpose is to inform you of general strategies, skills or insights (based on the principles of effective communication, conflict resolution and positive interactions, as well as Debra’s experience as a couples mediator, relationship author and coach) that may help you reach your personal goals and achieve positive change in your life and marriage/relationship. These strategies, skills or insights will be determined by information provided by you during the tele-session. You understand and agree that any strategies, skills or insights provided are informational in nature, and you must use your own judgment when deciding whether or not, or to what extent, to implement them in your life or marriage/relationship. Debra Macleod cannot guarantee these strategies, skills or insights are suitable for your situation or will improve your situation and she will not be held liable for any act or omission allegedly arising, directly or indirectly, from the use or misuse of information provided. Debra Macleod will treat all information discussed or written as confidential; however, this confidentiality will be breached when required by law or when criminal or harmful activities are suspected or stated by the client, including self-harm or harm to others. Regarding confidentiality, you also understand and agree that, if your spouse/partner is also consulting Debra Macleod with regard to your marriage/relationship, Debra has your permission to use and share with your spouse/partner relevant information from your tele-session in an effort to improve the overall dynamics of the marriage/relationship. You also understand and agree to be contacted at the telephone number(s) or email address(es) you provide, and to have invoices, order confirmation email and/or other necessary correspondence, from DebraMacleod.com/MarriageSOS.com and/or third party sites (i.e. Acuityscheduling.com, PayPal.com) sent to such email address(es).  Although reasonable steps to ensure client confidentiality will be taken, Debra Macleod and Marriage SOS accept no liability for damage caused by email virus or corruption. Debra Macleod and Marriage SOS is headquartered in the Province of Alberta, Canada: you agree that the statutes and other laws of the Province of Alberta and the country of Canada, without regard to conflicts of laws and principles thereof, will apply to all matters arising from or relating to a tele-session. You submit to the exclusive personal jurisdiction and venue of the federal district and provincial courts of Canada and Alberta with respect to such matters. Tele-sessions require pre-payment in full and clients are responsible for providing their correct contact information. Forty-eight (48) hours’ notice is required to cancel your appointment: please email contact@debramacleod.com or call the office (leave a voicemail) at 1-888-295-2843 to cancel your appointment.  Applicable refunds are typically issued via PayPal within 1 – 5 business days.  If Debra Macleod must cancel the tele-session in advance, you will be notified by email and/or telephone and you will be given the option to reschedule or receive a refund. Debra will dial the telephone number you provide at the scheduled tele-session time; however, if you do not answer after three attempts, the tele-session is deemed cancelled by you without notice and a refund will not be given. Once the tele-session is underway, either you or Debra Macleod may choose to end it at any point and for any reason; however, a refund may not be given.

Books & Blogs: By purchasing or accessing Debra Macleod’s books or blogs, you understand and agree that the author is not engaged in rendering professional advice or services to you on an individual basis. You understand and agree that the purpose of these books and blogs is to inform you of general strategies, skills or insights (based on the principles of effective communication, conflict resolution and positive interactions, as well as Debra’s experience as a couples mediator, relationship author and coach) that may help you reach your personal goals and achieve positive change in your life and marriage/relationship. You understand that the author is not a mental health practitioner and that these strategies, skills or insights may not be suitable in all or in serious situations: these strategies, skills or insights are unsuitable in cases of abuse, mental illness/disorder, trauma, addiction, serious emotional distress or where crisis intervention is indicated. You understand and agree that any strategies, skills or insights provided are informational in nature, and you must use your own judgment when deciding whether or not, or to what extent, to implement them in your life or marriage/relationship. Debra Macleod cannot guarantee these strategies, skills or insights will improve your situation and she will not be held liable for any act or omission allegedly arising, directly or indirectly, from the use or misuse of information provided.
