Online programs: Scope, suitability and purpose
Purchase of a program entitles you to access that program for a period of one year from the date of purchase; however, no-cost reenrollments in active programs may be provided at the discretion of Marriage SOS Inc. upon proof of prior purchase.

Telephone sessions are on a one-on-one basis: Unless otherwise agreed, Debra Macleod does not do conference calls with couples nor speak to both spouses during the same appointment. Debra will dial the telephone number you provide at the scheduled tele-session time; however, if you do not answer after three attempts, the tele-session is deemed cancelled by you without notice and a refund will not be given. Once the tele-session is underway, either you or Debra Macleod may choose to end it at any point and for any reason and a refund will not be given.
The purpose of a telephone session is to provide general insights and strategies with respect to the principals of effective communication, conflict resolution, and positive interactions. These insights or strategies will be determined by information provided by you during the tele-session. You understand and agree that any insights or strategies provided are informational in nature, and you must use your own judgment when deciding whether or not, or to what extent, to implement them in your life or marriage/relationship. Debra Macleod / Marriage SOS Inc. cannot guarantee the insights or strategies will apply to or improve your specific situation or marriage dynamics, and will not be held liable for any act or omission allegedly arising, directly or indirectly, from the use or misuse of information provided.

Marriage SOS Inc. customers and users must be at least 18 years of age, or the legal age or majority in their jurisdiction if it is different. Marriage SOS Inc. / Debra Macleod reserves the right to restrict access to a program user at any point and/or to edit or delete a user’s account for any reason, without prior notice and without a refund.
Third Party Sites
DebraMacleod.com is owned by Marriage SOS Inc. and contains links to sites that are owned and operated by reputable and privacy compliant third parties. These include the Thinkific course platform for course enrollment and delivery, and Acuity Scheduling for booking telephone sessions. Marriage SOS Inc. also uses third-party payment processors PayPal and Stripe.
Marriage SOS Inc. has a general no-refund policy for our online programs. If you feel your situation is unique or you should be exempted from this by law or for any other reason, contact firstname.lastname@example.org for fast, friendly help. We want you to be satisfied with our service. Any exploitative or fraudulent behavior relating to the credit card purchase or use of a Marriage SOS Inc. crash course will be contested. We respect our purchasers, please respect our products and policies. In addition to delivering excellent content at an exceptional value, we have provided an accurate description of contents for each course. We provide reliable service and support, and our payment processors use fraud filters to authenticate the transaction. Your purchase is therefore as informed and secure as possible.
An online program may be revised or discontinued at any time without prior notice. If a course is discontinued during your period of enrollment, you will receive a prorated refund.
For telephone sessions, 24 hours’ notice is required to receive a refund. Applicable refunds are typically issued via PayPal or Stripe within two business days. If Debra Macleod must cancel the tele-session in advance, you will be notified by email and/or telephone and you will be given the option to reschedule or receive a refund.
All of Debra Macleod’s content, including digital, print, audio, video and PDF material (i.e. program supplements), is copyright material. No part of these home programs may be accessed, stored, reproduced or distributed in any form without Debra Macleod’s permission. Online programs are for individual use: you may not give access to your program or share material from it with others. Copyright infringement, including infringement without monetary gain, is illegal, and will be pursued to the full extend of the law.
Course care phone consults
Course-takers who have completed all three parts of a regular-priced program may request one fifteen-minute course-care phone consult by emailing email@example.com. Course-care phone consults are subject to availability and take place during regular business hours, MST. We cannot guarantee available time-slots will be conducive to individual course-takers’ schedules and we will not re-book cancelled or unanswered calls. Course-care phone consults are intended to provide clarification of course content, not individualized relationship advice. Course-care phone consults are not available in cases where enrollment has expired or where enrollment has been extended as a courtesy.
Viruses, Malware and Data Breach
Marriage SOS Inc. prioritizes security and privacy, and adheres to industry best practices. We recommend that you install appropriate defences against viruses and malware before you email, access, or download any information from any website, including DebraMacleod.com or Marriage SOS Inc.’s linked third-party sites. Marriage SOS Inc. will not be liable for any claim or damages suffered by any person due to the alleged presence of any virus or malware on DebraMacleod.com or any other website.
When you contact Marriage SOS Inc. / Debra Macleod, whether by email or by enrolling in an online program or booking a telephone session, you agree to be contacted at the email address(es) or telephone number(s) you provide, and to have invoices, order confirmation email and/or other necessary correspondence from us and our third-party sites sent to such email address(es). Marriage SOS Inc. / Debra Macleod will treat all information discussed or written as confidential. Confidentiality will however be breached when and if it is required by law including the admission of criminal or harmful activities against an identifiable person or class or persons including self harm as well as harm to others.
Debra Macleod and Marriage SOS Inc. accepts no liability for damage caused by email virus or corruption, or data breach.

Applicable Law and Venue

What information do we collect and what do we do with it?
When you create an account and/or enroll in a program, and as part of the enrolling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, email address and region. This is necessary for you to create an account on the linked course platform and access your course.
When you book a telephone session, and as part of the scheduling process, we collect the personal information you give us such as your name, email address and telephone number. This is necessary for you to book the appointment on the linked online scheduler and for Debra to contact you.
How do you get my consent?
When you provide your name and/or contact information, you imply that you consent to being contacted at the email address(es) you provide and to have invoices, order confirmation email and/or other necessary correspondence from Marriage SOS Inc., DebraMacleod.com and/or third-party sites sent to such email address(s). You will only be contacted for essential business purposes.
How do I withdraw my consent?
If after you opt-in, you change your mind, you may contact us at email@example.com to request that your account be deleted from the course platform or that your information be deleted from the online scheduler.
Our courses are hosted by Thinkific Labs Inc. (“Thinkific”). They provide us with the online course creation platform that allows us to sell our product/services to you. Your data is stored through Thinkific’s data storage, databases and the general Thinkific application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.
Telephone sessions are booked online via Acuity Scheduling, and your data is securely stored there until your appointment.
For payment of our courses, we use a third party payment processor such as Stripe or Paypal. Payments are encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS).
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information.
Third Party Services
In general, the third-party sites and providers used by us will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. Third party sites and providers, including payment processors, have their own privacy policies: you can read their privacy policies if you wish to understand the manner in which your personal information will be handled by them.
Certain providers may be located in or have facilities that are located in a different jurisdiction than either you or us. If you elect to proceed with a transaction that involves the services of a third-party service provider, then your information may become subject to the laws of the jurisdiction(s) in which that service provider or its facilities are located.
As an example, if you are located in Canada and your transaction is processed by a payment gateway located in the United States, then your personal information used in completing that transaction may be subject to disclosure under United States legislation, including the Patriot Act.
To protect your personal information, we take all reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed.
Your account on the Thinkific course platform will be deleted at the end of your enrollment, or earlier if you request by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org. Empty accounts (those that contain no purchased courses) will be deleted after six months or earlier if you request by emailing email@example.com.
Your personal information will be deleted from our online scheduler upon cancellation or completion of your telephone session, or earlier if you request by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org
Your personal data including name, email address and region, is securely stored by Marriage SOS Inc. and is maintained for necessary, legally-required business purposes and duration only. You may request a copy of any personal data stored by emailing email@example.com and we will respond to your request within 30 days.
If you email us directly, perhaps for technical assistance with a program or to enquire about our services, the email exchange is deleted once the communication thread has ended, or earlier of you request it. If you email us and we do not respond, (i.e. if you reach out for advice, which we cannot respond to) your email will be deleted. All email communication is SSL-encrypted via our website hosting company SiteGround.
Marriage SOS Inc. does not sell your personal information, send out mailers or newsletters, keep an email list for promotional purposes, ask for feedback, nor allow advertisements on our site.
Web Analysis Tools
We may use web analysis tools that are built into DebraMacleod.com website to measure and collect anonymous session information.
Age of Consent
